H.W.A. Tabor's Birthday

Saturday, November 26, is the 181st birthday of H.A.W. Tabor. The man who gave the City of Leadville so much (and whose larger-than-life story we continue to profit from) is being remebered by an Open House at the Tabor Home on Saturday, the 26th, from noon to eight o'clock pm. The house will be seasonally decorated and the public is welcome.

Ski Cooper is having two Job Fairs this season for all those who are interested in working at the mountain this ski season.  Join us on Saturday October 29th and Saturday November 5th from 9AM to Noon at the Ski Cooper Lodge at the mountain

We will be interviewing and hiring:  Lift Operators, Ski Patrollers, Rental Technicians, Ski & Snowboard Instructors, Race Crew, Daycare Attendants, Parking Lot Attendants, Chicago Ridge Guide, and Ticket Sellers.

Ah, the crisp air of fall, the warm sunshine and the cool breezes.  There's nothing like fall in Colorado.

Brief as it may be, this year Fall has lasted over a month at Ski Cooper.  Leaves are still changing, still on the trees, and a bountiful crop of oranges and reds have appeared throughout the state, uncharacteristically so.  But what does this mean to the skier?
