I was not able to replace the calories I lost skiing. You were correct. Hundley's was not open on Thanksgiving. I will be back, though. Not just for Hundley's, but for skiing also. The Colorado Gems Card got me to try you out. The good experience (no lift lines, nice employees, and uncrowded slopes) will get me to come back.
Nice to meet you Thursday,
Jay Stretcher
We had a great time yesterday and the snow was beautiful. I can't remember the last time I had first tracks all day! It was a welcomed change for me to experience the peacefulness and smaller crowds. I get a little overstimulated witih people, so it was a great day for me! Also, I don't know if Kim mentioned it, but she has been a boarder for the last 8 years and forgot to pick up her board on Monday. So, we had another setup of skiis and she dove right in. She was happy to experience skiing again in a mellow environment. We enjoyed sitting and watching everyone inlcuding the locals and on our final run saw John Gordan and a couple other patrolers doing the sweep. Haven't seen that in a while, so it was cool. We may want a little more local knowledge on Chicago Ridge snowcats if you can share some details about that. Also, don't you all host some event for the 10th Mtn soldiers? If so, when is that? Anything that you feel is special and worthy for us to share would be great. Our friend Katie Gaylord is going to be skiing in the masters races in couple weeks there. Who knows? We may visit again. I know that we will be coming back and telling others to do the same. It was great to get out of the normal routine and step back in time so to speak. I get why many locals want to keep it a secret.
Thanks again and it was great to meet you!

I want to thank you for a great day yesterday. My family and I came up for the day and it was wonderful. Most especially, my 10-year-old daughter skied for the first time and your employees, especially the lift operators, were so nice and helpful. That seemed to take most of the fear factor away and made her day great. Thanks for a great day.

I rarely write organizations, but I was at Cooper today and found it to
be one of the best days I have ever had despite the Arctic cold! I also got to participate in a downhill race, which I had never done and had always dreamed of. Thank you for offering the race! You are by far the best-kept secret in terms of winter sports in Colorado!
Please pass this note of thanks to the management and all who was involved in planning the military appreciation day last Tuesday. I took full advantage of the opportunity to take my 5 year old skiing and we both had a great time. In fact it was his 2nd time on skis, but he went on the lift for the first time--a milestone for all skiers.
Some businesses support the military, but you guys (and gals) took military appreciation to a new level. Your entire staff (I used daycare, gift shop, rentals, and ticket counter) was extraordinarily courteous and friendly, which is the main reason I am writing. I always make a point to recognize good service because it is rare these days.
On behalf of the US Air Force, thank you and I will do my part to support your ski hill and I will encourage others to do the same.
