The Wearin' of the Green and the Luck o' the Irish!

Wear your green - everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day.  Find the pot o' gold and join us Saturday, March 17, at the Lodge at Ski Cooper for our St. Patrick's Day Celebration!

Enjoy wonderful Irish Music by the Mountain Minstrels of Colorado along with a Rueben Sandwich Special and the pouring of Green Beer from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Don't forget about the great skiing and riding that you can do in between!

On February 26, we had a couple of awesome visitors at Ski Cooper - Krystal 93's Tom Fricke and Leon Joseph Littlebird  hosts of The Snow Show!

Adam Stromwall posted this video earlier in February of his latest Ski Cooper snowboarding trop. He is working on a larger video of the history of Snowboarding.  Ski Cooper hosted the first-ever snowboard contest, King of the Hill, in 1981 (Jake Burton and Tom Sims were among the competitors), and still caters to snowboarders with a  terrain park, great powder and a full complement of snowboard lessons.  The style and boards are a bit different but the riding is still as great as it was back then ...

Ski Cooper's Spring Special....

The 37th Annual 10th Mountain Ski-in is Friday, February 17, 2012 at Ski Cooper. This annual celebration of those who fought in World War II and trained near Tennessee Pass includes a ski down, lunch, and reenactment.

It was a test: Navigate down slope on Chicago Ridge, above Ski Cooper, in considerable avalanche danger using your newly acquired skills.

I was nervous.
